VDay

In honor of Valentine's Day..I thought I'd share a little about my husband and I!

Steve and I met eachother in highschool. He was a senior and quaterback of the football team and I was the freshman and... I could make it perfect and say cheerleader..but no, I was on the varsity soccer team. We met during the fall and started to get to know eachother..had some ups and downs..but then began dating in April. April 16th to be exact! I know I know..now I can't even remember what the date was yesterday, but something about highschool love has you remembering all of those special little dates.
It was never really a thought about seperating while he went away to college. Grant it, he was only in school for a year, not the typical 4 or more. But he was offered a good job and couldn't turn it down.
We stayed together all though my highschool years and got engaged the summer after I graduated. Crazy, huh? Looking back, I think how young I was and how crazy we were. But we were in love and that's all that mattered.
We got married 2 years later. We were planning a big winter wedding in south jersey..but all the planning was making me nuts and we totally switched plans and decided to get married in Jamaica. We had 30 of our friends and family come with us and we had an amazing time! After returning from our honeymoon, we did a brunch reception with everyone who couldn't make the trip to Jamaica.
To our surpise, a couple months later, we found out we were expecting..but not just one baby, but two..TWINS! A shocking and amazing surprise. My great grandmother had twins..but it was never really a thought that I could possibly be that blessed.
Carson and James arrived on July 2, 2007..a year and 1 day after our first wedding anniversary.
Bringing you up to today..we now have two 19 month olds who we adore and we're approaching our third anniversary.
I would have never thought when I was 14 and a freshman in highschool that my life would be where it's at now. We are truly blessed!

feeling special...

The other night, I had a little case of insomnia and ended up watching some episodes of John and Kate Plus 8. How she keeps track of 8 kids just amazes me..but anyways. There were a few episodes where they had "special days" with each child individually..to basically spend time alone with them and to let them feel extra special for a day. They let the kids decide what they wanted to do..one wanted to go to Stausburg Railroad..another to a reptile farm..etc. It really made each kid feel great and John and Kate learned a lot about each child.
I was telling my husband about that the next day and we got to talking about how we thought Carson and James felt about eachother. I'm sure that they love eachother..and love always having a playmate..but they have to think "Will this kid ever go away for one minute! I mean, I go to bed -- he's there...wake up -- he's there...have lunch -- he's there..play -- he's there...bath time -- he's there!" If that were me..I know I'd probably be a little annoyed and want some alone.
I know that they are still young, but I really want to try to make more one-on-one time with each of them. That's probably one..of my many..resolutions this year.

I'll have new pictures for you guys in a couple of day..i promise!!

HoHoHo!!

We took the boys to see Santa today at our local mall..we probably shouldn't have when we did, though. They were getting hungry and were pretty tired, but the line wasn't too bad..so we decided to go for it. They were SO good during the wait..and even when they sat on his lap at first. But the minute the photographer and her assistant started with the ringing the bells and waving this stupid bird in the air to get their attention for the picture, I think they got overwhelmed and wanted off...so this was the best of the couple she took! Not tooo bad. I wasn't expecting them to be perfect little angels with a smile on their face..so this is our christmas 08 picture with Santa!!

still here...

Happy Halloween! I know I know..once again, it's been forever since I last posted. Sorry!!
I have such a hard time with posting these pictures on here. I always try to seperate them and group them, but it's such a pain to move them. So, I'm just going to keep them where they are.
Carson and James will be 16 months on the 2nd and are becoming so much fun to be around. Not that they weren't before, but they are now at a great age! Carson is the dragon. Can I tell you how much this kid hated his costume?! Did you see "A Christmas Story" with Ralphie in the pink bunny suit? Well, that was Carson. I put his costume on and right away, he was a totally different kid. He actually went and sat down in a corner to hide from us. The poor kid!
James was a skunk..and if you ask me..the cutest skunk ever. He seemed to really enjoy being dressed up and would laugh at himself in the mirror.
We went to the Philadelphia Please Touch Museum last Monday and had a blast! I would definitely reccommend it to anyone in the area. I was a little worried that they still might be too young for it, but there was so much for them to do. They seemed to love it and had so much fun! We actually got a membership and I am looking forward to going back soon!

Hello! Once again..it's been way too long since I last posted. Having two 14 1/2 month olds keeps me busy!!

We've been doing really good. Carson and James are still getting TOO big TOO fast! They amaze me more and more every day! They are such happy boys (most of the time) and they have such great personalities. They'll actually make me laugh out loud a few times each day. For example, I'll be putting them down for a nap, and when one of them notices that I'm putting the other down in the crib, he will run out of the room laughing! I'll come out to get him, and he'll run even faster..and laugh even harder!

They are at such a fun age. We've always done things with them..the zoo, parks, aquariums, etc. They always seemed to look interested, but now..they'll be pointing, laughing, babbling about stuff. It really is a great feeling to know that you're kids are enjoying themselves.

My mom and I had a little vacation with the boys..My husband and my dad couldn't make it, so it was a mother & daughter & boys kind of thing. We just went to Williamsburg for 4 days, but it was a great and relaxing trip. It felt so good to get out of routine for a couple days. We spent one day doing Colonial Williamsburg and Jamestown. Then we also went to Busch Gardens for a day. Carson and James were so good and they were entertained by all of the shows that we saw. They even did some rides, which was very surprising to me!

Gotta run! They should be waking up from their nap soon and I was supposed to get dinner in the oven!! Hopefully I'll be able to post again soon!
Hope everyone is doing amazing and having lots of fun with your babies!
